Navigate the dashboard
After you log in, the Dashboard is your home base. It gives you a real-time view of AP activity and a path to every other feature.
Sidebar
The left sidebar is the main nav. The order matches the in-app left rail.
| Section | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Home | Landing dashboard — metrics, charts, AI-generated insights, the Action Center. |
| Inbox | Items routed to you: invoices to review, approvals queue, emails pending review. |
| Invoices | View, upload, review, and act on invoices. |
| POs (Purchase Orders) | Browse purchase orders synced from your ERP. |
| Receipts | Browse goods receipts used for three-way matching. |
| Vendors | Manage your vendor list and vendor details. |
| Fields | Chart of accounts and dimension values. |
Some sidebar items show a lock icon. That means the feature is gated by your role. If you need access to a locked section, ask your admin.
Where did Settings, People, Approvals, and Agents go? They moved out of the left sidebar. Settings opens from your avatar menu in the top-right. People, Groups, Approval Policies, and other admin surfaces are nested under Settings. Agent configuration is also available through the avatar menu.
Top bar
The top bar runs across every page.
Company switcher
If your organization runs more than one entity, the company switcher appears in the top bar. Click it to switch entities. When you switch, every page rescopes to that entity.
The switcher only appears if you have access to more than one entity. One company is the normal case for single-entity organizations.
Global search
The search box in the top bar searches across every entity type in the app — invoices, POs, receipts, vendors, people, and reference data — from one input. Results group by entity type and link straight to the record.
The search is schema-driven, so it matches fields like invoice numbers, vendor names, tax IDs, PO references, GL codes, and any field your ERP integration exposes.
Press Cmd + K (Mac) or Ctrl + K (Windows) anywhere in the app to focus the search box from the keyboard.

Dashboard with the global search palette open in the center of the screen, showing recent items and the search prompt.
Back navigation
When you drill into a record (an invoice detail page, a vendor details page, a PO detail page), an in-app back button appears in the top-left of the content area. Click it to return to the list or page you came from, preserving your saved-view, filter, sort, and scroll position.
This is separate from the browser back button. Use the in-app back button to keep your list state — the browser back button can reset filters.
Notifications
The bell icon at the top right opens the notification center. It shows real-time updates for items that need your attention, like invoices pending your approval or processing issues. The count badge shows unread notifications.
Profile menu
Click your name or avatar in the top-right to:
- Open your profile settings.
- Sign out.
Dashboard cards
The Dashboard shows configurable cards. The default set covers:
| Card | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Invoices Processed | Total invoices processed in the selected date range. |
| Amount Invoiced | Dollar total across processed invoices. |
| Pending Approvals | Invoices currently waiting on someone. |
| Processing Success Rate | Share of invoices that processed without manual intervention. |
The cards refresh as invoices move through the system. See Dashboard Metrics for what each metric counts.
Date range
Above the cards, the date picker controls the time window for every metric on the page. Built-in ranges include Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Month, Last Month, This Quarter, This Year, and Custom Range.
Action Center
Below the cards, the Action Center groups items that need a person to act: invoices in error, invoices missing critical fields, approvals waiting too long. Each row links to the affected document.
Charts
The Dashboard renders a configurable grid of charts. Common ones include:
- Invoice Status, the breakdown of where invoices are in the workflow.
- Spend by Vendor, top vendors by dollar amount in the date range.
- Aging Report, how long pending items have been waiting.
- AI Insights, plain-language commentary on trends and anomalies in your AP activity.
- Notice Distribution, which validation notices are most common.
The exact charts visible depend on your role and the entity's enabled features.
Lock icons
A lock icon next to a sidebar item means your current role does not have access. In the current sidebar, only Inbox is gated this way: Approvers see a lock on Inbox because their work is routed through individual approval requests rather than the shared queue. Restricted Approvers don't see Inbox at all — they go straight to the invoices that need their approval.
Administrators, Controllers, AP Specialists, and Auditors see no locks on sidebar items. Within each section, specific actions may still be disabled depending on role — Auditors, for instance, have read-only access throughout.
If you need access to a locked section, ask your entity Administrator.
