Use the Agents workspace

The Agents workspace lists the built-in and custom Agents available in your current company.

Who can see this

Signed-in company users can open Agents from the left navigation and view the built-in Agent cards. Memory details, custom Agent controls, and run history appear only when your permissions and company capabilities allow them.

Open a built-in Agent

  1. Select Agents in the left navigation.
  2. Open Invoice Processing or Email Processing.
  3. Review the Agent description and the Memory tabs available to you.

The built-in Agent cards stay on automatically. Their Memory views differ:

AgentMemory tabs
Invoice ProcessingAll, Global, and Archived
Email ProcessingAll and Archived

The Archived tab is read-only and shows Memories archived during the last 30 days. You need company:agent_memories:view to read Agent Memories. Creating, editing, and administering Memories use separate Memory permissions.

Who can create a custom Agent

Custom Agent authoring requires all of the following:

  • The custom Agent and authoring capabilities for your company.
  • The company:agents:manage permission.
  • Permission to view invoices and inbound email.
  • All-invoice and all-inbox visibility in the current company.

These checks keep a custom Agent from reaching records outside your normal company assignment. If New agent is missing, ask an administrator to check your role, visibility, and company access.

Create a custom Agent

  1. Select Agents in the left navigation.
  2. Select New agent in the upper-right corner of the page.
  3. Enter the Agent's Name.
  4. Enter its Description.
  5. Under Trigger, select Schedule or Event.
  6. Complete the schedule controls or select the Event that should start the Agent.
  7. Turn on Enable memories if the Agent should use reviewed Memories.
  8. Enter the Agent's Instructions.
  9. Under Notify, select Add recipient.
  10. Choose the person or group that should receive the result.
  11. Select Save.

Test or run a custom Agent

Open the saved Agent and use the controls at the bottom of its configuration:

  1. Select Test run to start a test.
  2. Review the run details before changing the Agent or its instructions.
  3. Select Run now when you want to start an active Agent outside its normal trigger.

The Agent must be turned on before Run now is available. Only one run can be active at a time.

What you should see

After you save a custom Agent, its card appears in Agents. The detail page shows its configuration and the sections available for its runs, versions, and Memories.

If something goes wrong

  • If New agent is missing, your company may not have custom Agent authoring or your assignment may not meet the permission and visibility checks above.
  • If Save does not complete, fill in Name, Instructions, and at least one recipient. A scheduled Agent also needs a timezone.
  • If Test run or Run now is disabled, turn on the Agent and wait for any current run to finish.
