Work from Tasks

Use Tasks to work through items that need your review or decision without checking several lists.

Open your task list

  1. Select Tasks in the left navigation.
  2. Select All to see every task currently available to you.
  3. Select another task-type tab when you want to narrow the list.
  4. Use Search, Filter, or Sort in the toolbar to narrow the current tab.
  5. Select a row to open that item, or select Start tasks in the upper-right corner to begin with the first item in the current list.

Read the tabs and counts

All remains available. Other tabs appear only when that type of work is present and available to your role. For example, a queue containing only invoice work shows All and Invoices, with a count beside each label.

The full set can include Emails, Invoices, Agents, and Failed Exports. Your company may use a different label for invoices.

The summary under Tasks can show how many items are assigned to you and how many are shared. When there is no work, it says No tasks need your attention.

Finish a task session

Opening a row or selecting Start tasks starts a focused session. The task rail shows the items in that session, while the main pane shows the email, invoice, or Agent item you need to review.

Complete the action on the current item. Clerked moves to the next available item, and completed work moves under Completed (N) in the task rail.

When the session is empty, you see You're all caught up. Select Back to Tasks, or select Continue if new work arrived while you were in the session.

What you should see

The task list keeps your selected tab, search, filters, and sort while matching work still exists. A task session shows your remaining items and your completed count.

If something goes wrong

  • If a task-type tab is missing, there may be no open work in that family or your role may not have access to it.
  • If the list becomes empty after you search or filter it, clear the search or remove a filter. The selected tab remains in place so you can adjust the query.
  • If a task disappears after you open it, another user or workflow may have completed or reassigned it. Return to Tasks to refresh your queue.
